About Us

Friends of Africa Missions Ministries Inc. was founded in 1999. It is a 501c3 non- profit organization committed to taking the gospel to the unreached on the African continent. We are comprised of members of various churches in the Baltimore City and Baltimore county surrounding area. Its members have made a life long commitment to serve the LORD by spreading the Gospel to the unreached people groups on the African continent.

A word from our founder......

It’s not every day that one gets an audience with God. Moses was blessed to talk to God face to face (Exodus 3). Isaiah was blessed to see the Lord high and lifted up (Isaiah 6). No, I didn’t see the Lord face to face, but what I saw changed my life forever. The year was 1997. It occurred on the mission field in Ghana, West Africa. It was the vision of my Pastor to one day send me to Africa to represent our church on the mission field. You need to understand like many people, Africa was not something that was ever on my radar. It wasn’t a dream of mine, no not even a thought. But here I was thousands of miles away from anything and everything that was familiar to me. I had an expectation that something would happen. I had a desire to be used of God in some capacity in sharing the gospel. But what happened was beyond anything I could have imagined or thought. Jesus saved me in 1980. I thought I had a good understanding about God and who He was. I even thought that I understood what He wanted. Boy was I mistaken. The Lord did use me, but then He exceeded my expectations. God allowed me to see His heart. In seeing His heart, he changed mine forever and my life as well. God’s heart beats for the souls of men everywhere. God is looking for individuals he can show his heart to. I invite you to come and join us on a marvelous journey with the Lord. Let God show you His heart and change yours in the process.

OUR VISION

Friends of Africa envisions erecting a training center where new Christians would be discipled over a period of time and sent back to minister amongst their own people. There would be economic empowerment along with the biblical training. The centre for missions and community development will aim at:

  • Aid in the planting of churches within the unreached communities.

  • Develop training materials in the form of audio visual tapes, pamphlets and tracts for publication and distribution to the communities.

  • Organizing seminars and workshops in evangelism for the body of Christ.

  • Sharing the Gospel, ministering to all. Ensuring that converts remain and abide in the Christian faith.

  • Train & equip converts with sound Biblical teaching

  • Develop a reliable research and information unit that would provide useful information for the body of Christ.

  • Train converts in employable skills such as carpentry, masonry, computer science and agriculture.
